07/10/2002 - New Website Promoting Economic Development in New Hampshire's North Country

www.northcountryeconomy.com is the first part of a regional marketing campaign designed by Glen Group

BETHLEHEM, NH—The first regional economic development marketing campaign in New Hampshire launched this week with the introduction of www.northcountryeconomy.com. Spearheaded by North Country Council, of Bethlehem, New Hampshire, the campaign is designed to unify the economic development message and image of the region, and will focus on promoting the region’s unique lifestyle and business opportunities.

A one-stop resource for business prospects, www.northcountryeconomy.com, offers complete listings of information and services available for relocation and expansion to the North Country. The website features property listings of seven primary industrial parks, or business villages, in the region, as well as community and labor profiles and demographic information for the towns in which the business villages are located. Both the website and the marketing plan were developed by Glen Group Inc, of North Conway, New Hampshire.

“This project represents the first collaborative marketing effort by the North Country for economic development,” said North Country Council Economic Development Director, Jeff Hayes. “We are excited to be able to reach out to new business prospects, as well as be a model for other similar projects throughout the state.”

North Country Council is a regional planning commission and economic development district serving 51 towns in Northern New Hampshire. The project has been funded by the Community Development Finance Authority and the New Hampshire Division of Economic Development. Both organizations will continue their support as the marketing campaign, which will be developed by Glen Group, grows to include collateral for the region, website enhancements and an advertising campaign.
