Ready for Business
The towns of the North Country all share the same sense of community, although they all have their own distinct identity. Town governments are made up of selectmen with the exception of Berlin, which has a town manager and council. Each town also has a full-time police force, and all feature a fully trained volunteer or full-time fire department.

Besides town government, each community is very similar in its makeup as well. A friendly, local flavor abounds, and the proximity to the great outdoors makes for active, tight-knit communities of people who love to be outside.

To learn more about each individual city or town in Coos County click on the community that you want to learn more about. Detailed information will be given that shows the largest employers, the number of citizens in the town, demographic data and more.
