 Directions: The Maynesboro Business Village is located on East Milan Road, north of the city.
 Description: Berlin’s first permanent settler was William Sessions who came from Gilead, Maine. He erected Berlin’s first house, a log cabin, in 1824. Other settlers soon joined Sessions along this section of the river, which was suitable for farming. In 1827, Samuel and Benjamin Thompson bought the Sessions’ place which became known as the Thompson Farm. The large, old barns at this site today, were built later in the days of logging with horses, by the Brown Company to house the company’s horses. Today, this site is now Berlin’s Maynesboro Business Village, which was developed in 1974 along with the establishment of the Berlin Industrial Development and Park Authority, and serves as an important business center for Berlin.
The village was developed in a lush green meadow, along the Androscoggin River, the business village is surrounded by a beautiful view of the White Mountains and offers more than 65 acres of industrial and business properties, made up of 14 lots ranging from 3.19 acres up to 9.13 acres, where lots have been merged.
